Research Works to Develop Reactive Materials to Destroy WMDs NJIT

The research of NJIT Ph.D. candidate Purvam Gandhi uses mechanochemistry to mill highly reactive materials that are designed specifically to destroy deadly chemical agents. Purvam’s work, under the direction of NJIT Distinguised Professor Edward Dreizin, is part of a multi-university alliance led by Johns Hopkins and funded by the U.S. Department of Defense. Our team documented Purvam’s research as part of an ongoing effort to shine a light on the important work of researchers thorughout the university.
